The penthouse is located in the municipality of Wald im Pinzgau and is within walking distance of shops for daily needs, restaurants, a doctor's office, the bank, and the post office. The local bakery offers a bread roll service during the high season, and the bus stop is also within walking distance. In winter, a ski bus also runs from here to the ski areas.

The penthouse is politically assigned to the district of Zell am See (in the province of Salzburg), which is also a worthwhile destination for excursions. Salzburg and its airport can be reached in about 90 minutes, Innsbruck (airport and train station) in about 60 minutes, and Munich Airport in about 2.5 hours. The region is surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery, led by the Großvenediger (3567 m). The village offers numerous leisure activities in both winter and summer, such as skiing in the Wildkogel Arena in Neukirchen or in the nearby ski areas of Zillertal Arena and Kitzbühel Alps, sledding the illuminated toboggan run in Bramberg, hiking or cycling in the Sulzbach or Habach valleys, searching for emeralds along the Emerald Trail, or exploring the water worlds in Krimml with the highest waterfalls in Europe.
